The Nutshell

Dear Parents,

A very warm welcome back to all our pupils and staff after the Easter break. I do hope everyone enjoyed the Easter holidays and came back feeling relaxed and refreshed, ready to start a busy, Summer Term.

The Easter break was an exciting time for many of our pupils. Our Chapel Choir travelled to Prague to compete in the International Young Bohemia music festival competition; the trip was a huge success. Our children performed brilliantly and I was personally hugely proud of every single child, not just for their performances during the competition but also their dedication and hard work during the numerous hours of rehearsals leading up to the event. Achieving a GOLD award was a moment we will all remember with pride and happiness for a very long time.

Our sports department also travelled with 27 Year 7 and 8 children to Valencia for a football tour. They enjoyed coaching sessions at the Valencia training ground and played fixtures against local opposition and regional academy sides. The experience of playing on the academy pitches of a top Spanish team was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the Estadio de Mestalla and a return trip to savour the atmosphere of a Valencia FC home match. The trip also offered the opportunity for time at the hotel pool and beach – a welcome break from the endless British rain!

Wishing you all a wonderful, long and hopefully warmer, weekend.

Best regards,

Lindie
