The Nutshell

We’re excited to be launching the Kindness Collective at Hazelwood School.

There are lots of kindness initiatives that take place across our school - the Year 8 Hygiene Hub, the pond redevelopment, the Year 4 book swap - and we’ve decided to bring all of these amazing projects together to be called...The Kindness Collective!

To launch this, our challenge is to complete 1000 acts of kindness in 4 weeks. We want to ensure that everyone is actively showing kindness to ourselves, each other and our community members.

The Kindness Collective is a movement to make our school a place where everyone feels seen, supported and valued.

We are partnering with the School of Kindness, a charity which aims to empower children by helping them realise that the little choices they make every day have the power to change lives and change the world, while also improving their own physical and mental health.

We held our first zoom call with the School of Kindness this week and two of our Year 8 Kindness Ambassadors, Molly & Charlotte, explained our 1000 Acts of Kindness initiative.

We can’t wait to keep you updated with further details!
