The Hazelwood Community Fund

Applications are invited for grants up to £750

Hazelwood School is inviting local and community organisations to make applications to its Community Fund for grants up to £750 to support events or activities with an educational aspect.  The Community Fund was set up as part of the school’s 125th Anniversary as a way of saying ‘Thank you for having us’ in the community since 1890.  It is hoped that The Community Fund will benefit from school fundraising for many years to come.

So if you are in need of staff training, looking for your members to learn a new skill or want to take them to a museum of place of interest, then The Hazelwood Community Fund could help make that happen.

Between 2016 and 2018, grants totalling over £20,000 have been distributed to over twenty-five local organisations including St Mary's School, The Piranhas Swimming Club, Bloomin' Arts, Oxted Cricket Club, Friends of Holcot, North Downs Community Orchestra, Tatsfield Scouts, East Park Riding for the Disabled, Limpsfield Parish Church,  and Tandridge Pre-School.

The invitation to apply for a grant in 2019/20 appears here.

Full details and an application form can be downloaded here. All local organisations are eligible to apply subject to stated terms and conditions.

Closing date for applications is Friday 31st January 2020.

The panel’s decision will be final.

Up to ten grants of £750 (maximum) will be awarded.

Money will be available before 29th February 2020 and must be put towards activities happening after, and within six months of this date.

Please contact Nick Tappin via email: bursar@hazelwoodschool.com if you have any questions.
