The Hazelwood School Promise
Hazelwood School has a long history of inspiring young people to flourish, dating back to its foundation in 1890. Our location, situated in 25 acres of woodland and fields lying on the edge of Limpsfield Chart, gives us the perfect setting to do this.
We are a co-educational school for children 3 months to 13 years. Our pre-school children are looked after and educated in The Hazelwood School Nursery and Early Years on the Laverock site in the centre of Oxted.
Hazelwood is an Anglican foundation that accepts children of all faiths and none.
We believe every child is special and unique and we aim to maximise the potential of every pupil up to the age of 13.
Our school motto is Spiritu Inspiratus which translates as Lungfuls of Inspiration. It is a strong link with our past (our founders chose the site for the school on account of its lungfuls of fresh air ) and a clear statement of our future intent and promise to all our parents: to inspire children with a love of learning.
