Trips & Travel

During your child's time at Hazelwood, he or she will be offered the opportunity to go on a wide range of trips and outings. They are used to expand and enrich learning and are an integral part of how the curriculum is planned and taught at Hazelwood.

Trips vary from year to year but some of the highlights are Year 2's outing to the Natural History Museum, Year 3 trip to High Ashurst, Year 5 Residential Activities Trip to Bowles to test their nerve on the climbing wall and high wires, and a theatre visit to see Matilda. In the Upper School, pupils in Year 6 enjoy a trip to Hampton Court Palace in support of their study of Tudor England, Year 7 pack their bags for a Geography and Biology trip to Hengistbury Head and a bi-annual trip for Year 7 and Year 8 to Iceland to study glaciers, volcanoes and bubbling geysers rounds off an active and stimulating year.
