Information Technology
Information Technology thrives at Hazelwood. In 2002 alone we saw the introduction of colour laser printing in the IT and Art rooms, and a mini-network in an English classroom with four workstations, a laser printer and a scanner. Recent expansion of the network to a second building means we are able to extend the network to the Library and several more rooms.
It is not only the technology available that is constantly increasing; huge advancements have been made in the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in all subjects. ICT skills are increasingly essential to the development of children today. Hazelwood understands this, and the objective is to integrate the use if IT into every part of the curriculum - from the traditionally academic side right through to the creative subjects. We aim to facilitate the use of all the tools available to enhance the output in every subject area.
