History at Hazelwood is an exciting, sparkling adventure into the past, where our students are encouraged to learn for themselves what a fantastic nation of adventurers, warriors, traders and lawgivers the British truly are.

They will learn how the English, Scots, Welsh and Irish nations melded together over time to rule over half of the World’s population; and how this tiny island state of ours grew into the most powerful nation on earth.

History is a magical story of heroism, determination, brilliant invention and self-sacrifice, sometimes of individuals and sometimes of whole armies of people bonded together under the single banner of justice and freedom.

By the time your children come to leave Hazelwood, they will have learned to think, question and seek out knowledge for themselves; what greater gift from their education could they hope to gain than that?
