Chesnut lays the foundations for successful learning in a happy and fun environment. Our exceptional facilities and qualified specialist teachers all contribute to securing skills and experience in our children beyond basic literacy and numeracy.
With 20 children per class each child is well known, and their particular needs and aspirations are attended to; yet there is plenty of stimulation from the views and opinions of peers on whole class activities.
By the end of Key Stage 1 (age 7) Chestnut children have benefited from a structured, co-ordinated and progressive curriculum as the basis for future learning. They are assessed for Prep School entry, and the Key Stage 1 tests are administered, audited, and reported to parents. More information about our Subjects, Curriculum and Homework and other School Activities is available on this site.
